1

Thermostat

Tells the rest of the system when to run and whether to heat or cool.

Signs it needs a look

  • Blank or unresponsive screen
  • System turns on and off every few minutes
  • Room temperature never matches the setting

What a call covers

  • Thermostat diagnosis and wiring checks
  • Thermostat replacement
  • Schedule and mode setup
2

Indoor unit

The furnace or air handler. It holds the blower that moves air through the house, the heat source, and the indoor coil.

Signs it needs a look

  • No heat, or heat that never catches up
  • Water pooling around the unit
  • Blower not running, or new rattling and squealing

What a call covers

  • Furnace and air handler repair
  • Blower motor and capacitor checks
  • Indoor coil and condensate drain cleaning
3

Ductwork & vents

Carries conditioned air out to each room and brings return air back to the indoor unit.

Signs it needs a look

  • One room much hotter or colder than the rest
  • Weak airflow at some vents
  • Whistling or extra dust around registers

What a call covers

  • Duct leak checks
  • Airflow balancing between rooms
  • Vent and return grille problems
4

Outdoor unit

The condenser or heat pump. Through the refrigerant lines, it moves heat out of the house in summer, and with a heat pump, into it in winter.

Signs it needs a look

  • Fan not spinning while the system runs
  • Unit humming but not starting
  • Ice on the refrigerant lines

What a call covers

  • Capacitor and contactor replacement
  • Refrigerant pressure checks
  • Outdoor coil cleaning
